IDD Clinical Studies & Medical Testimonials

CLinical Studies Prove IDD Therapy Effective

A study titled Surgical Alternatives: Spinal Decompression, conducted by Thomas A. Gionis, MD and Eric Groteke, DC evaluated the clinical outcome of spinal decompression treatment (IDD Therapy) on patients with herniated and degenerative disc disease. Their results showed that out of 219 patients treated with IDD, 86% reported immediate resolution of symptoms, and a full 84% remained pain-free 90 days post treatment.

A subsequent study based on clinical examinations of the same patient group reported lasting improvement in pain symptoms in 92% of the original 219 patients treated, 90 days post-treatment.  See A Retrospective Clinical Pilot Study: Long Term Effect Analysis of IDD Therapy in Low Back Pain, by C. Norman Shealy, MD.
